Flynn Giudici Government Affairs is pleased to announce that lobbyist and government affairs advocate Omar De La Rosa has joined its firm as Senior Vice President. Omar’s arrival bolsters the firm’s commitment to servicing its Southern Nevada clients, helping them to find solutions to regulatory, legislative, and political issues.
A fixture in Nevada government affairs circles, Omar has over 14 years of experience handling legislative, regulatory, and political matters. Omar provides valuable Capitol Hill experience to Nevada’s growing and diversifying metropolis. While primarily based in Southern Nevada, his practice extends to the entire State. With his deep knowledge of Nevada’s government affairs and lobbying landscape, coupled with his extensive political and regulatory connections, Omar’s able to support clients as they navigate complex and thorny issues. Considered a Nevada policy expert, clients, politicians, and stakeholders alike turn to Omar as a trusted advisor to analyze and make sense of existing and prospective legislation and the potential impact.
For the last six years, Omar has been the Policy Director for the Assembly Republican Caucus, where he focused on developing and implementing effective policy strategy for legislative members, as well as leveraging partnerships and working with state and federal agencies, lobbyists, and stakeholders. Prior to that, he worked in several national political organizations and the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on Capitol Hill where he worked daily with staff on health care policy.
“We’re thrilled that Omar has joined our firm,” said principal Nick Vander Poel. “I have worked alongside Omar for many years and have always admired his tremendous skill set.” “When it comes to policy, more specifically, drafting, analyzing, and interpreting policy, Omar’s tenacity speaks for itself.”
“Omar is a fantastic addition to the firm,” stated Senior Vice President Mendy Elliott. “His political and legislative instincts are second to none.” “Our clients, particularly those based in Southern Nevada, will benefit greatly from his policy acumen and ability to traverse complex legislative and regulatory issues.”
